Venison Jerky: Thinly Sliced

A thin cut marinated jerky that is sure to impress your family and friends.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds Venison (lean cuts are best)
- 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
- 2 tbs Brown Sugar
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Meat Tenderizer *optional
Directions
- Thinly slice the meat (an electric slicer makes quick work)
- Place the venison slices in a zip-top bag
- Mix remaining ingredients in separate bowl and pour over venison strips inside of bag
- Shake the bag a few times and marinate for 12 hours or overnight for best results
- Spread the meat slices in a single layer on the dehydrator trays
- Dry at 165 degrees for at least 4-6 hours
- When bent, properly dried jerky should crack, but not break
